About the event
Set alight your inner world and learn how to experience your true and fullest potential in this two-hour free-writing workshop.
Inside of you there is a whole world, a voice and a catalyst for transformation. Take hold of your own, authentic voice and learn how to harness the untapped potential that lies between heart and hand. The wisdom that exists deep within every fibre of your being, that is the true poetry.
You will be guided through the basic principles of freewriting, a meditative and non-result based writing practice that encourages inner presence, awareness and sensual connection. You will be guided into a state of flow, using basic technique, stimulating prompts and principles to create works that flow straight from the heart.
Your writing will encourage you to dig deeper, look closer, listen harder and drop into your body. An experiential practice that evokes deep and authentic listening techniques - this workshop is perfect for anybody new to writing or wishing to deeper their practice.
Tips: Bring with you a scrappy notebook (nothing fancy) and a pen that works well. Make sure you're in a comfortable and warm environment and have a glass of water nearby, as wee will be working with some gentle movement, breath and meditative practices.
This workshop is offered FREE of charge, however we are gladly accepting donations for the Stroud Women's Refuge. If you wish to make a donation you may do so on the link below, thank you for your kindness.
