The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. A moment for rest, retreat and recuperation where the darkness prevails over the light, this is a time to soften into the inner landscapes and make space for sumptuous self-care.
Join Molly & Salacia at the beautiful Warrior & Wild in Nailsworth for a cosy and candlelit Winter Solstice day retreat to help you ease into the gentle seasonal energy.
This is a day designed to nourish and refresh you completely from the inside out. We will spend time deepening the connection with ourselves and with one another - leaving you feeling nourished, restored and rested in anticipation of the busy holiday season.
You will be guided through an intentional day weaving through the healing mediums and practices we feel are most nourishing for this time of reflection.
PROGRAMME
10:00 - Gentle arrival & blessing
10:15 - Opening circle & intention setting with Ceremonial Cacao
Mama Cacao holds the vibration of kindness, nourishment, unconditional love, and restoration, opening a channel for loving connection with yourself and others. Cacao's energy is healing and very gentle - speaking directly to the heart. We open our space with Cacao to nourish our bodies and hearts, making space for our Solstice intentions to come through in the group.
11:00 - Seasonal yoga practice (90 mins)
Salacia will be guiding us through a slow, seasonal practice to nourish the body and deepen the awareness, using the theme of the Winter Solstice to ground the practice. Expect sumptuous movements that feel oh-so-delicious to honour your winter body and guide you into a full body exhale.
12:30 - 13:30 - Warming vegetarian lunch
We will be warming our bodies and with a hearty and nourishing vegetarian lunch of freshly made soup and local sourdough bread at The Canteen.
13:30 - 14:00 - Reflective Journaling & Community Sharing
To help us land and digest our lunch we will spend some time enquiring deeper into our Solstice intentions through the practice of journaling and community sharing, with the option to pull an oracle message!
14:00 - 16:00 - Yin Yoga, Nidra & Sound Bath
Drift off to the soothing sounds of crystal bowls to finish our day together. You will be guided through a gentle full-body relaxation, releasing unwanted tension and stress to leave you feeling utterly peaceful and ready to receive healing vibrations. You will then receive a cleansing and candlelit sound bath, guided by the sounds of chimes, singing bowls and voice to allow you to fully let go and restore.Â
16:30 - Herbal Teas and Snacks
We'll close our day with some homemade healthy snacks and herbal teas.
17:00 Keepsakes & goodbye hugs!Â

FAQs
WHERE IS THE RETREAT & HOW DO I GET THERE?
The event will be held at WARRIOR & WILD in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. The nearest train stop is Stroud and there are plenty of buses and taxis servicing the area. There is some long-stay car parking available nearby although it can be busy.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Please bring along a special cup/mug or chalice for your Cacao, in the interests of sustainability we will not be providing single use cups.
Please also feel free to bring along an offering for the altar (crystals, talismans, flowers, candles...) so we can coweave the magic!
WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS?
10:00 arrival - 17:00 departure
CAN I DRINK CEREMONIAL CACAO IF (...)?
Ceremonial Cacao is a potent and magical plant medicine. We use the highest grade Cacao organically and ethically sourced from the Tsatayaku association in Ecuador. A ceremonial dose of Cacao is 30-40g and can have some purgative/stimulating effects due to the Theobromine and Caffeine content. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking SSRI's or have any serious health conditions please let me know beforehand so I can prepare a lower/no dose for you.
DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCED SOUND BATHING BEFORE?
All are very welcome - no sound bathing experience is necessary. Please let us know in advance if you suffer with serious heart conditions, have a pacemaker, tinitus, epilepsy or any other condition that might be effected by the vibration of sounds. We use both digital and analogue sounds.
WHAT LEVEL IS THE YOGA PRACTICE?
This retreat is suitable for all abilities, genders, shapes, sizes and ages! Yoga is suited to all people and lots of options will be given.
I'M TRAVELLING TO THE RETREAT - CAN I STAY NEARBY?
The local village (Nailsworth) is nearby and we can reccomend some fabulous B&Bs and accomodation if you would like to stay close to the retreat, either before or after. There is carparking nearby, toilets on site and all the props and amentities necessary to be comfortable for the day.Â
ARE ALL ASPECTS COMPULSORY?
We'd like to create cohesion and connection amongst the group so encourage full participation. However it’s your body and your time, so if you feel called to skip an experience, it’s up to you. Please note that doing so will not affect the price in any way as all pricing is fully inclusive.
WHAT’S THE BOOKING POLICY?
If I have to cancel for any reason your payments are refundable in full up until 7 days prior to the event after which no refunds can be offered. Full Ts + Cs available on booking.
