SEASONAL SOUND CEREMONY: SUMMER SOLSTICE

Welcoming you to a brand new sound immersion in Woodstock, Oxfordshire to honour the passing of the seasons in the great wheel of the year - held by local musician and holistic sound artist Molly Chinner.

Sound bathing is a beautiful resting practice, designed to soothe you in mind, body and spirit. 

It doesn't involve water (hehe) but you will be 'bathed' in a cocoon of pure and healing vibrations, guiding you to reach a greater sense of harmony. Sound healing can help to 'retune' any dissonance in the body to a set of more helpful, harmonic resonances supporting overall health and wellness. Sound healing can be helpful for relieving symptoms of many common ailments, mental health disorders and conditions - a sonic tonic of respite from our fast-paced world.

In this moment we gather in the Woodstock community centre to acknowledge this important moment in the seasonal shift - when the light is at its peak and the sun rules the sky. The Summer Solstice is a time of celebration and joy. Traditionally celebrated with flowers, dancing, fire and starlight feasts the Solstice enlivens us with a fresh sense of joy and expansion into our abundance. Now is the time to celebrate yourself and give gratitude for your many blessings. 

You will be greeted with a steaming cup of seasonal, herbal tea and a warm, friendly community. You will be able to choose an intention card from the deck if you wish before being guided to settle down into rest. We'll open with some gentle mindfulness meditation and relaxation accompanied by seasonal musings and poetry. You'll then drift into a cosmic state of rest accompanied by the angelic tones of crystal singing bowls and Molly's voice. 

Molly's signature sound sessions are created using a combination of pure, crystaline tones, ambient drones, Celtic and English folk songs, sacred Mantra, ethereal vocals and  to create a blissful sound cocoon for you to be held by. Her intention is to hold a space for you to receive what you need in any given moment, crafting a little pocket of rest for you to reflect on the turning, seasonal wheel.

At the end you'll be gently reawakened by the sound of chimes and Molly's voice. Leaving with a refreshed sense of energy and creativity. 

There will be some delicious little natural sweet treats served afterwards and the opportunity for community sharing. 

Useful Information

• Please bring with you a mat or blanket to lie on, something warm to wrap up in, an eye pillow and anything else you need to be comfortable. We will not have any spare so do make sure you bring your own! 
• We can accomodate for all ages, experience levels and accessibility. Chairs can be provided if lying on the floor is difficult or uncomfortable for you. Please let us know in advance if you have any extra accessibility or support needs. All are welcome.
• Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Babes in arms can attend for free. 
• Please arrive 10 minutes early to make sure you are settled in and ready to begin. Latecomers may be difficult to accomodate because of disruption, so please leave plenty of time to arrive. If you are going to be late please let us know on 07495710203.
